With Peter Pirkner, the OMV group has added an experienced HR manager to the team that can make significant contributions to the required transformation. In addition to a Masters in Business Administration from the Vienna University of Economics and Business and the University of Minnesota, he studied economic and organizational psychology at the University of Vienna. He looks back on three decades of experience as an international HR manager and as an advisor in the field of HR Management Consulting. Peter Pirkner’s previous positions include Head of Group HR for UniCredit Leasing in Milan, ÖBB Holding AG and A1 Telekom Austria AG, as well as Associate Partner at EY. Most recently he has managed his own strategic consulting firm, guiding companies through their digital transformation.

“OMV is at the start of a major transformation towards a circular economy and a higher level of sustainability. The success of our change process is decisively tied to our people, which is also why HR management is such an important role. That is why I am delighted that we have managed to bring Peter Pirkner on board as our head of human resources. He will bring his comprehensive know-how regarding change and transformation processes to this critical phase for our company”, said Alfred Stern, OMV CEO and Chairman of the Executive Board.

Isabell Hametner has decided to leave the company in order to embrace new challenges. She was Senior Vice President for Human Resources from April 2016 and together with her team she played a key role in the realigning OMV and in modernizing HR management in the group.
