 EXPERIENCE OPERA – a project dedicated to inspiring young minds! Together with the Vienna State Opera and CAPE 10, we welcomed students for an exclusive behind-the-scenes journey, fostering cultural participation, education, and unforgettable memories.

     

         

The Vienna State Opera is one of the most important opera houses in the world. It is internationally regarded as the house with the most extensive repertoire. Around 50 opera and 10 ballet productions are performed each season, accompanied by the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra as the State Opera Orchestra. The ensemble of singers is complemented by the most important international soloists. The Vienna State Opera is very active in education and youth development with its Opera Studio, Opera School and Ballet Academy projects, as well as the new stage for children and youth projects, NEST.

As Future Partner of Grafenegg, we support projects for education and young talent, such as the Composer-Conductor Workshop Ink Still Wet, the Grafenegg Academy and the residency of the European Union Youth Orchestra. We are actively committed to the next generation of artists and young audiences, enabling access to art and culture for young people.

Discover ALLES WALZER – inspiring young minds through music! - one of our projects were, together with Grafenegg, CAPE 10, and the Tonkünstler Orchestra of Lower Austria, we brought the world of orchestral music to life for 250 pupils promoting education, participation, and social responsibility. 

    

      

Grafenegg is the leading music location in Lower Austria and stands for a high-quality, inspiring cultural experience that goes far beyond classical music. The annual Grafenegg Festival is one of Europe's most important orchestral festivals and delights audiences with top international orchestras, renowned soloists and conductors.

A central concern of Grafenegg is the sustainable promotion of young musical talent. Various programs accompany young musicians and composers from their first steps to the start of their professional careers, such as the Grafenegg Academy, the Composer-Conducter Workshop Ink still wet and the residency of the European Union Youth Orchestra. These projects enable intensive exchange and individual support - an investment in the future of music.

As part of our partnership with the WU Institute for International Business, we support the WU Business Case Challenge - a project that gives pupils and students the opportunity to analyze real business problems and develop innovative solutions.

The Business Case Challenge is therefore an important platform for forward-looking ideas and entrepreneurial thinking.

With our commitment, we offer learning opportunities to the youth to foster excellence, innovation, fresh perspectives, and creative problem-solving for future challenges. 

Green Chemistry - Chemistry competition for schools

OMV and Borealis are involved as partners in the chemistry competition “Green Chemistry” because we are convinced that innovation and sustainable solutions in chemistry are crucial for the future. With our support, we want to motivate young people to develop creative solutions to problems and show how research in chemistry can contribute to environmentally friendly and safe processes. In this way, we specifically promote the skills development of the next generation and make a contribution to a more sustainable world.

The “Green Chemistry” competition is one of the largest school chemistry competitions in Austria and is organized by the Austrian Association of Chemistry Teachers (VCÖ). For the 18th time, schools throughout Austria were invited to take part in experiments and projects on the topics of sustainability, circular economy, resource conservation, energy efficiency and safety, more than 250 schools participated. The focus is on independent experimentation by the pupils in order to encourage the spirit of research and emphasize the importance of practical science.
