SAF

Decarbonizing aviation is critical. OMV's sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) is an immediately available solution that reduces the carbon footprint of aviation fuel over its lifecycle. With almost the same chemical characteristics as conventional kerosene, SAF is suitable for all aircraft engines and airport infrastructure.

ReOil®

Imagine having the power to give plastics another life and contributing to the circular economy – ReOil® is our proprietary chemical recycling technology that converts end-of-life plastics into circular feedstock.

CCS/CCU

From above to below and beyond: Carbon capture, storage and utilization (CCS/CCU) is a technology that captures carbon emissions at their source. The captured carbon is then converted into transportable carbon dioxide that can be stored underground or used to create new resources. By reducing CO2 emissions, CCS/CCU plays an essential role in helping us achieve our net-zero goals.

Methane Splitting

Methane splitting is an innovative technology that produces low-emission hydrogen and valuable carbon products from natural gas or biogas—using significantly less energy than traditional methods. By enabling hydrogen production and creating new materials for the chemical industry, methane splitting supports our Net Zero goals and opens up exciting opportunities for sustainable growth.

CoolSwingCC®: Electrifying Carbon Capture for a Low-Carbon Future​

CoolSwingCC® is OMV’s proprietary next-generation solvent based carbon capture technology. By replacing heat-intensive thermal desorption with an electrified process, CoolSwingCC® cuts energy demand by more than half and enables efficient CO₂ recovery for circular applications, such as e-fuels. Validated at the Mobile Carbon Capture Innovation Center (CCIC), CoolSwingCC® brings an economic, scalable, modular carbon capture technology into real industrial environments.​
