We work to safeguard the integrity and reliability of its sites, assets, and processes while managing environmental impacts. We apply established approaches and technologies to support high HSSE standards.
Health
The physical and mental health of our employees is important to OMV's long-term success. To support access to a consistent standard of health care, OMV has established a Group-wide standard. It includes preventive initiatives, targeted health promotion campaigns, health risk management, and access to medical care when needed.
OMV aims to provide a safe working environment for employees and contractors, and to prevent work-related fatalities. Across our operations, every individual contributes to the objective of preventing incidents. Safe behavior and care for oneself and others are important elements of OMV's safety culture.
Occupational and Process Safety
Security
OMV works to prevent and mitigate external threats arising from intentional or malicious actions. The focus is on protecting employees, the company, operations, and infrastructure through accurate and timely information.
In the event of an emergency or crisis, OMV has plans and procedures in place to support an effective response and recovery.
OMV aims to consider people and nature in its business activities and to take planetary boundaries into account.
OMV works to reduce environmental impacts from its operations, to prevent leaks and improve air quality around its sites. OMV also aims to contribute to the conservation and restoration of biodiversity and ecosystems, taking into account the Global Biodiversity Framework. Roadmaps support the assessment and adoption of technologies intended to reduce environmental impacts.
