Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, and Rainer Seele, Chairman of the OMV Executive Board, today signed documents on the further development of the strategic partnership between the companies at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2017.
The parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding. The document outlines the principles of a potential cooperation between Gazprom and OMV in coordinating activities for the development of the gas transmission infrastructure required for providing natural gas supplies to Central and Southeastern Europe.
Also a Framework Agreement was signed to collaborate in the small-scale LNG sector. The parties intend to cooperate in a joint integrated project for a small-scale LNG production terminal in the area of the Russian Black Sea coast, the transportation, marketing and sales of the LNG production.

OMV is Gazprom’s main partner in Austria. The companies cooperate in gas production, transportation and supplies.
In 2016, Gazprom exported to Austria 6.1 billion cubic meters of gas, which is 38 percent more than in 2015 (4.4 billion cubic meters).
