OMV and the Vienna State Opera: A Partnership for the Future – Focus on education, talent development, and innovation

For the first time in their partnership, an OMV scholarship program is being established at the Opera School, Ballet Academy, and Opera Studio. 

OMV and the Vienna State Opera, two internationally renowned institutions with deep roots in Austria, have redefined their long-standing partnership: Starting this season, OMV is the Vienna State Opera’s “Future Partner,” with a clear focus on education, talent development, and innovation. In doing so, OMV is sending a strong signal of progress and social responsibility.

As part of this partnership, OMV supports established educational and youth development projects at the Vienna State Opera and fosters the next generation of talent and innovation in the cultural sector. The goal is to promote local and international talent and provide them with a stage for the future.

Highlights of the new partnership:

• Opera School: The Vienna State Opera offers around 150 vocally talented children and young people (from age 8) training in solo and choral singing, as well as the opportunity to participate in stage productions. OMV supports two solo students of the Opera School with scholarships, enabling their entry into the world of opera.
• Ballet Academy: The Ballet Academy of the Vienna State Opera stands for excellent training in classical and contemporary dance. OMV supports two young talents at the Ballet Academy with scholarships, helping them to fully develop their artistic and personal potential.
• Opera Studio: Founded in 2020, the Vienna State Opera’s Opera Studio is a two-year training program for young, outstanding, and international singers. OMV awards a scholarship and supports young artists throughout their careers.
