DIYALOG: Art from Vienna

OMV was presenting art from Austria at Contemporary Istanbul, the largest art fair in Turkey, for the first time in November 2013.

The special project DIYALOG: Art from Vienna showed artworks by artists living in Vienna. The works were selected by a pool of ten curators comprised of art experts from a variety of fields. Each curator nominated one prominent artist from the older generation and one young artist who shows great potential. The exhibition includes paintings, installations, and videos as well as sculptures, drawings, and photography. The works prompted a dialog between the art and the viewer and opened up new perspectives on contemporary art in Austria’s multicultural capital.

OMV has already encouraged the cultural exchange between Vienna and Istanbul with several projects, such as the VIENNAFAIR and the Istanbul exhibit in MAK – Austrian Museum of Applied Arts / Contemporary Art.

Contemporary Istanbul took place from November 7-10, 2013, at the Istanbul Convention & Exhibition Center.
