OMV: New Executive Board Member for Gas and Power business segment

• Hans-Peter Floren to succeed Executive Board Member Werner Auli

The OMV Supervisory Board has unanimously approved the appointment of German national Hans-Peter Floren as Executive Board Member Gas & Power. Werner Auli stepped down from the Executive Board at the end of 2011 for health reasons.

Hans-Peter Floren (50) has extensive professional experience in the energy and gas sector. According to Markus Beyrer, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, “The appointment of Mr Floren brings to Austria an internationally experienced manager in the gas industry with an outstanding track record. The entire OMV Supervisory Board is convinced that he will successfully continue to develop the Gas & Power business, which is of strategic importance to OMV, and will create further profitable growth.”

Since 1987 Hans-Peter Floren has held various management roles in the energy sector. Most recently he worked as Board Member of E.ON Ruhrgas AG (Essen) and of E.ON Energy Trading SE (Düsseldorf). Prior to that he held a series of management positions within the group, in business areas that are strategically important for the gas sector such as transport and storage management, dispatching and system planning. Before beginning his career, Hans-Peter Floren was awarded two degrees from the University of Essen: a degree in economics in 1990 and an engineering degree in 1988.

The Executive Board appointment was made following a Europe-wide search in cooperation with a well-known executive search consultancy.
