Now available at VIVA: Afro Coffee, the new and exquisite taste of coffee
- With the new Afro Coffee product range VIVA offers special moments of indulgence
- High-quality coffee with the FAIRTRADE seal of approval now at every OMV filling station with VIVA
Starting today, a very special indulgence will be available at OMV filling stations with VIVA: Afro Coffee, a first-class coffee with the FAIRTRADE seal of approval that comes from the colourful world of modern Africa. Thus, VIVA offers a distinctive coffee experience with blends of Arabica and Robusta beans that were exclusively composed for VIVA, based on a concept that leads back to the origins of coffee.
A touch of Africa
Africa is the cradle of coffee. That’s why each and every cup of the delicious beverage embodies the culture and the identity of an ambitious and rising continent. The brand Afro Coffee therefore is a symbol for the growing self-confidence and the concept of offering first-class coffee as a distinct brand-name product. "The modern African township culture expresses itself in bright and colourful designs. That’s how VIVA shops also turned into places of pure vitality and soulfulness", explains Harald Joichl, Head of OMV’s filling station business in Austria and Germany, in a description of the Afro Coffee brand launch at VIVA.
Uniquely intense and balanced coffee blends
The VIVA blends were exclusively composed by Afro Coffee. They are powerful with a particularly delicate note. These pure moments of indulgence refine first quality beans from Africa with finest variants of other continents. Intense Arabica beans provide a strong body and selected Robusta beans create the unique flavour and perfect crema. The hand-selected beans are roasted delicately to ensure an equilibrated harmony of more than 1,000 aromas.
FAIRTRADE – helping others to help themselves
Products with the FAIRTRADE seal of approval can be enjoyed with a good conscience because the seal guarantees that producers in developing countries have a secure income and good
prospects: small farmers receive a fair wage for their work. This creates security and confidence for the future. An increasing number of small farmer cooperatives are therefore able to make longer-term plans and invest not only in infrastructure and production but also in improving production processes and therefore quality. "We have found a partner in Afro Coffee that, like us, places considerable value on social sustainability," says Harald Joichl, who welcomes the move. Furthermore: "We are delighted that Afro Coffee not only means we can offer our customers a first-class coffee but also enables us to make a contribution towards helping others to help themselves, which is particularly close to our hearts."
