Romania plants 71,000 trees!

In November 2019, OMV Petrom initiated the biggest tree planting campaign, “Romania plants for tomorrow”, in 7 Romanian counties in partnership with 7 environmental NGOs. Appoximately 3,000 volunteers, out of which 650 OMV Petrom employees, managed to plant 71,000 trees on a surface of 13.5 ha. The planted trees comprise 15 different tree species that will help in absorbing CO2 from the atmosphere. OMV Petrom will continue this campaign for the next 3 years, with the intention to plant even more trees.
