OMV participates in „VERBUND X Accelerator. The Energy & Infrastructure Innovation Platform“

VERBUND X Accelerator brings Austria's leading companies and international partners together in a joint program for innovative solutions in the energy and infrastructure sector. The Accelerator Program will facilitate start-up and company cooperations focusing on main challenges in Europe: Climate Change & Critical Infrastructure. The aim is to speed up innovation and jointly develop and implement solutions for sustainable business models.

OMV is involved in the entire ecosystem program and as exclusive use case partner for “hydrogen storage and H2 security of supply”. Safe and cost-efficient storage solutions should make it possible to utilize hydrogen for energy production.

The Accelerator Program, initiated by VERBUND, is being implemented in cooperation with Bundesimmobiliengesellschaft, OMV, Post, Austrian Power Grid, as well as ÖBAG, Erste Group, Green Tech Cluster, voestalpine, Stanford University and RISE Accel as strategic partners.
