Computer equipment and food for families facing economic and social distress in Slovenia

Every February OMV Slovenia organizes a charity campaign, during which members of OMV Smile&Drive loyalty club can donate loyalty points to a selected charity organization or a cause. In 2020, the charity campaign has again been very successful – gathered points will be used to fund a week of summer holidays, as part of the Pomežik soncu® humanitarian programme of the Slovenian Association of Friends of Youth, to more than four buses of children in need.

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the funds originally dedicated to year’s charity event closing were doubled and donated by OMV to the families in need for food, other goods, and computer equipment during the current emergency. This donation of 10,000 EUR will enable a quality distance learning for schoolchildren deprived of equal opportunity in Slovenia.
