2020+ Austrian Forest Strategy

The project "Climate Research Forest" was presented during the 22nd Forest Forum on November 29, 2019 for the first time. This public-private partnership project is a cooperation between the Federal Ministry for Sustainability and Tourism, OMV and the Federal Forest Research Centre. The aim of this program is to identify forest types and tree species that are resistant to climate change and at the same time to highlight the great importance of forests as CO2 reservoirs.
