The community program around Al Sharara oil field in Libya aims to help the local municipalities in improving their service delivery to the local population. The essential equipment, infrastructure and supplies are being provided in order to improve services of local municipalities in health, education, water and sanitation. The resilience program has been prepared under the leadership of Libya’s state owned National Oil Corporation (NOC) and is supported by the Repsol-OMV-Statoil-Total consortium.
OMV is the sole international partner of NOC (National Oil Corporation) in Nafoora Augila field, located in the Sirte Basin in the east of Libya. A community resilience program has been designed under the direction of NOC for addressing the immediate needs of local population in the field of environment, education, agriculture, emergency relief, etc.
