Interview with the OMV Board Member Elena Skvortsova

It has been half a year since Elena Skvortsova took her seat on the OMV Executive Board. As Chief Commercial Officer, she heads the Marketing & Trading business division. In a short video she reflects on her favorite moment at OMV so far, what attracted her to the company and the industry, and where she stands on climate issues.

We need to come up with business models that are not only going to be climate friendly but also sustain and persist with time – as the industry changes, as the environment changes, and, yes, as the climate changes.

Curriculum Vitae

Born in 1970 in Moscow, Russia

Elena Skvortsova studied at the Moscow Linguistics University and the Thunderbird School of International Management in the USA. She began her professional career at Bayer in 1994 as an international management trainee; her most recent position there was Associate Director of Bayer Corporation (Healthcare). Starting in 2001, she held various leadership positions at Baxter International in the United States, Central and Eastern Europe, and the United Kingdom. In 2015, she moved to Linde AG and was responsible for the management of the Middle East and Eastern Europe region. From March 2019 to April 2020 she headed Praxair Canada Inc., a 100% subsidiary of Linde plc, following the merger of the two companies.

Elena Skvortsova has been a member of the OMV Executive Board since June 15, 2020 and is responsible for the OMV Downstream Marketing & Trading division. 

Elena Skvortsova's term ended in October 2022.
