Advance ticket sales for the Grafenegg Festival 2022

The Grafenegg Festival has published the new program for the summer season 2022 and is once again gathering the best orchestras in the world in Lower Austria. The general advance ticket sales started on November 24, 2021.

The summer season 2022 traditionally begins with the Midsummer Night`s Gala on June 23 and 24, 2022, followed by the summer concerts between July 2 and August 6, 2022 and the two Grafenegg Academy concerts on July 17 and 24, 2022. The artistic highlight is formed by the Grafenegg Festival from August 13 to September 4, 2022.

The festival opening 2022 is dedicated entirely to Beethoven`s 250th Birthday with the performance of “Fidelio”. Anja Kampe and Jonas Kaufmann present Beethoven`s musical plea for freedom and loyalty together with the conductor Jaap van Zweden and the Gstaad Festival Orchestra.

Other highlights include concerts of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Manfred Honeck, the London Symphony Orchestra with Sir Simon Rattle and the Vienna Philharmonic. Once again, the St. Petersburg Mariinsky Orchestra and Valery Gergiev will take over the festive closing of the festival. Cautier Capuçon, Hélène Grimaud and Patricia Kopatchinskaja will perform as soloists in Grafenegg.

The Austrian Georg Friedrich Haas will take on the role as Composers in Residence in 2022. The winner of the Great Austrian State Prize and professor at Columbia University in New York is preparing a performance with the Lower Austrian brass band in the palace gardens.

You can download the brochure with the concerts of summer 2022 as well as all the concerts in the supporting program as a PDF here. All further information about the Grafenegg Festival and the current offers can be found here  on the official website of the cultural location.

As general sponsor, we are already looking forward to next year's summer season and the unique concerts in the incomparable atmosphere of the castle park in Grafenegg.
