Ski jumping is a dynamic, exciting and fun sport, which is in constant development and motion. OMV has been in partnership with the Austrian Ski Federation (ÖSV) for 20 years and sponsors the Eagles of the ÖSV and promising young talent. OMV also supports the Czech and Slovenian ski jumping teams and has been sponsoring young Romanian talent since 2007. Our athletes who are sponsored by OMV were perfectly prepared for the start of the 2010/2011 World Cup season in the Finnish Kuusamo. And the season continued to unfold very positively after that. The Eagles were able to record victory in the Four Hills Tournament and first place in the overall ski jumping standings. At the
World Championships in Oslo, the eagles were as well convictive: the athletes from the R&M countries (AT, CZ, SI, RO) succeeded in winning ten top-ten places in total, including three gold and two silver medals.
Our athletes celebrated a successful conclusion to the season at the Ski Jumping World Championships in Planica. The Eagles underpinned their excellent form with a treble. Our jumpers can look back on a successful 2010/2011 season with justifiable pride. However, with the new 2011/2012 season starting as early as in August with the Summer Grand Prix, the athletes do not much time to rest on past successes.
